Adulation

Like a gleaming precious jewel that beacon, luring into its poral embellished with deception, if awakened to see the brilliant light gleaming gently on our souls to close that portal sight.

Beauty

Beauty is love; beauty is passion, as a Dove it soars with grace and compassion. Cherish beauty for many reasons; because in time it fades with the passing seasons, and when beauty is no more, it lingers in our hearts and minds, waiting, waiting, waiting, for its innocence to bloom once again as before.

Confessions

I've been poor, I've been rich
I've been hated, I've been loved
I've been dishonest, I've been honest
I've been homeless, I've a home
I've lived with the dirty, I've lived with the clean
I've been ugly, I've been beautiful
I've been in darkness, I've been in light
though people may judge and think me less, I know who judges me, I confess.

Dance of Creation

Yearning to glimpse the beautiful light shinning in full radiance of its creator, circling, flowing, twirling, and wrapping us in a second skin. It sings the sweetest melody for the purest of heart to hear its note of glory. The sound attunes into the captivating splendor of sight to dance the spiral of creation once again.

Forgotten Ones

Oh you souls who are hidden from view in deep valleys and winding roads.Who cares about your pains and sorrows that shows from your head to toes? Passersby ’s see your ashen faces of pain, hopelessness, in need have repair. But the only ones who care are those who feed upon your despair. All you forgotten ones, who sees your light? Who sees your yearning of release, and feels your imprisonment that cries out for peace? Oh you who struggle, who can make your faces shine? Only those with a discerning eye can take the message you cry, to let you know, we love, care, and wish you divine.

Life Stirring

Life wavers from night to day until we tire and take flight. But when all is gathered again, we take fancy to light, to hide, to cry, to sift through our night to once again regain our lost sight. Who is to blame for our deeds of misgivings, only our shadows reflecting our secret fears of things to become living? So on and on we tire endlessly, until our soul cries out Rest! Shall invade our very soul, so we can retreat to hear the sound of silence forevermore.

TheVeil

Lost in the void of worldly illusion which is magically made real. Who is to decipher the reality of this illusion, you or me? Misty as it may be, the eyes will clear to reveal yet another illusion of pain which is no greater than we suffer now, but finally resting in a place of peace.

Waiting

When will the end come, do we wait impatiently for it to spring forth, or quietly wait for a sign of its approaching date, wondering as time slips away into nothingness to start living as before.

About Me

No, I am not a poet; I like to write poetry from time to time. I wrote these short poems during a difficult time in my life. My oldest son told me to keep all of my work so that I could go back and reflect. I hope you enjoyed reading my short poems and of course, the interpretations are entirely up to you.

My name is Constance Y Hale (Coachman) born on April 12, 1949 in a small town, Berea Ohio www.bereaohio.com/ , a suburb of Cleveland Ohio. I presently live in Akron, Ohio about 45 minutes from Cleveland. My mother was 24 years old when she died leaving four small children behind. My father did the best he could keeping us together and raising us. Nothing my father did was wrong in my eyes, when I was a young girl; he was 'god'. Now you know that I was a Daddy's girl. After graduating from high school in 1968, I went to New York City to live. New York was full of excitement and awe, I could get lost in the gigantic crowd, which appealed to me, and was finally able to break away from the protected and sheltered life my father had laid for my siblings and me.

I attended the Maison Sapho School of Dressmaking and Design and the French Fashion Academy www.maisonsaphoschoolofdressmakinganddesign/in New York City studying fashion design, illustration, and dressmaking. I had dreams of becoming a famous fashion designer, however, life happened and I became a proficient dressmaker instead after moving back to Ohio in the mid 80s.

I enrolled in FMU Online October 2004, which is now Everest as of November 5, 2007. www.cci.edu/ I graduated July, 2008 with an Associate degree in business administration. Presently, I am attending the Academy of Art University online earning a Bachelor degree in Fashion Design. .
